Hello Gladiator forum!
Wife and I are enjoying our new-to-us 2020 Gladiator Sport S in Gator W/ premium soft top.
Wanting to upgrade the factory black cloth seats to Katzkin tan (autumn) leather. The autumn leather swatch sample seems to mimick the ‘baseball glove’ leather look we want. And we’ve had a white Jeep Wrangler in the past with Katzkin seats in red that we loved the look and feel of the Katzkins.

Anyhow, I just received my quote from Katzkin. Single solid color, no contrast stitching, no logos stitched in, the standard base order…
$1,796.70 ~ including tax and install.

Now I realize this is a custom fit, premium leather, professionally installed seat upholstery, but I have searched the forum and have seen others paying anywhere from $1,250- $1,500 for install out the door. Am I out of the ballpark, or are the prices just going up 15-20%?

Anyone with Katzkin seat installs please chime in. Or if there’s another way to get a better price quote than over the phone with their customer service. It’s not like I can shop around, but I’m not that willing to pay much more than $1500 for the Katzkin uphol. Holding out for a set of Gladiator Rubicon leather seats sounds better and better.

I just had leather installed in mine. I had checked with both Katzskin and Road Wire. Katzskin price was very close to what you were quoted. Road Wire was a little less and both appeared very close in quality. Good luck with whatever you decide. I have seen some full interiors on here for sale at reasonable prices.

I do decorative concrete. Albeit it’s not leather seats, my materials costs have skyrocketed. In the last year my supplies have gone up over 150%!!!! What was $100 is now $280?

A $5,000 dollar floor I now have to charge $12,000. All in one year’s time.
No kidding. My cardboard box supplierjust gave me the third 12.5% price hike in the last 6 months- over 40% higher YoY. It’s insane.

then again, my companyis up at least 50% onour products, and Tiber all ourcosts are only up 15%. It’s just insane and everyone is passing it on and then some.

I found out the hard way. Katzkin charges $1995 for the two tone with custom color stitching. I got $100 off as a veteran's discount. They referred me to a local installer. I didn't know who they were in advance and Katzkin didn't want to give me their info up front. I found out why. The installer did an awesome job and the seats look great. We were discussing the price and (off the record) they told me that if I had gone to them directly, they would have put my seats in for $1600. I could have saved $300.

Find a local installer and work with them directly and then tip them $100.

You can't see the blue color of the stitching in the photos, but they look very good in person and match the headliners.

Thanks for the heads up and the info Donald.
The two-tone w/ blue stitching looks killer. Great choices with the StinGray exterior!

It took 3 weeks for Katzkins to make the covers and get them to the installer. The installer took 3-4 hours to install them. Their shop is 5 minutes from my house.

I can't comment on the price, but my daughter's used JLU Wrangler came with Katzkin leather seat covers installed by the prior owner. I'd never seen a set in person before these. They may actually be nicer than my stock leather seats. They're definitely softer.

I ordered a Katzkin set for my previous Chevy Colorado and installed myself. It wasn't hard but I'm a DIY-er for just about everything. Pre-covid, two tone red and black were about $650. Even looking at similar sellers now on EBAY, which is where I bought them, is double the price for the gladiator now. Your quote is what I received when I applied for one but definitely go directly to an authorized Katzkin installer for a cheaper price, like an above post said.
