I liked someone's idea that those things along with the back seats could autolock /Unlock every time you leave or enter the TruckI was going to switch out to one of the AJT covers... But topless/doorless I have found I am locking the center console constantly & leaving the glove box locked. I wouldnt mind it being smaller, but I am using it often as is so I hate the size much less now.
Add the seat bottoms & it would be perfect for topless useI liked someone's idea that those things along with the back seats could autolock /Unlock every time you leave or enter the Truck
Well, the thread is well-named.Every owner's favorite thing about the Gladiator, the Jeep Gladiator Key Fob, deserves its own thread
They make kick ass stuff. Been buying his creations for a long time. Fj Cruiser, Tacoma, Tundra, and just ordered the key fob.As someone who did the AJT conversion on day 3 of ownership, I no longer experience this terrible problem or gripe. lol. I made a quick video of it.
I did the AJT conversion in grey and red hardware. Works great, much better fit. The only thing is, I try to take my doors off often which leads to me locking/unlocking the consoles frequently. The actual key is kept in a pocket on one side of the AJT, it rests in a small depression and has a small lid to close it. The way it is built makes it easy to eventually be loose enough to drop the key and lid if there is a jolt. I slapped my AJT key fob against my palm and my key and lid fell out. I got a rubberband on it now til I figure something better. Here is an example of what I mean if it's hard to picture. They make kick ass stuff. Been buying his creations for a long time. This is what I did. The stock fobs are stupid bulky junk that stab you.Besides putting your Jeep Gladiator Key Fob on a diet there are other options...
Here's an aftermarket key fob that will make you'll wonder how they could make it so much smaller...

Amazing the different perspective. I just don't see the problem with the key fob.The stock fobs are stupid bulky junk that stab you.
I could give mine to someone as I messed with that thing forever and couldn't get it to work so put my original back together and tossed this thing into my extra junk drawer. They make kick ass stuff. Been buying his creations for a long time. Fj Cruiser, Tacoma, Tundra, and just ordered the key fob.
Yep, I use the physical key a ton daily. I just wish if nothing else that trigger wasn't so sensitive. I got used to the size, but the deployment all the time is bothersomeI was going to switch out to one of the AJT covers... But topless/doorless I have found I am locking the center console constantly & leaving the glove box locked. I wouldnt mind it being smaller, but I am using it often as is so I hate the size much less now.
I find it impossible that the fob doesn’t open on you in your pocket.Amazing the different perspective. I just don't see the problem with the key fob.
Reading all the posts railing against it during the 4 months I was waiting for my JT to arrive, I imagined this huge fob about 4" long. Was really surprised to see it is about 2-3/4" x 1-3/4".
Putting a silicone cover on the FOB greatly reduces the opening in the pocket problem. For me, it's now a couple times a month instead of multiple times a day.I find it impossible that the fob doesn’t open on you in your pocket.
While the size is a matter of opinion (on what’s too big)...what isn’t an opinion is that it’s larger than most other fobs.
