Uconnect Navigation Map Upgrade - 2021v3 ASO 39.6

Searched for other posts on this, but was unsuccessful.

Has anyone with an early Gladiator (2020-or early 2021) done the 2021 map update? It states that it also updates the software. I'm not really experiencing any issues and don't really use the built-in navigation, so I was wondering if it's worth the $149.

In the notes, it makes a comment about a software upgrade:
...You will receive 1 Software Update with your Map Update Package. The Software Update must be installed prior to the Map Update. The Software USB will come in a very small cardboard box and have the letters 'QR' on it

I have a early 2019 build Overland. I bought the map update last August when it was on sale for $99. They send two USB sticks to load. One is the current version of the Uconnect software, and one is the map update. The map update is designed to only work the most recent Uconnect version, so they send one to load before installing the map update. They have you pull information from the head unit when placing the order. If the unit is old enough, and no updates have been done, there will be two Uconnect updates to load before installing the map update.

If you use the Favorites feature in SiriusXM, then it is probably worth the update price. Updating mine seems to have fixed it so it works properly. Otherwise, I would get on their mailing list and wait for it to go on sale again.

I also did the software/map update, however my Favorites quit working again after a couple weeks ?

My favorites are working on the factory build (early 2019) so that's not really an issue. That's a bummer @Jay Gatsby
