I have been researching this topic but cannot seam to get a straight answer on it. I have a 24 gladiator nighthawk which is a fancy sport model :)

I am wanting to add a leather steering wheel which should be simple. I have found a good used one that is from a 2024 model which matches the stitching. However this is a heated steering wheel which I dont really care for. My question is, can I just swap over my wires and bottons on this and use it without the heated function?

I understand the internals of the new wheel will be heated but I dont care for that, just want a leather steering wheel with my regular controls.

20" wheels and a painted hard top, but a plastic steering wheel, go figure, right?

I don't have any direct experience with a wheel swap, but for many other optional features like this throughout these Jeeps, there will be unused pins in the vehicle side wire harness plug... So your heated wheel will plug into air on the heat wire pin, but the rest of the buttons will work correctly. As an example, if you pull a door from a Jeep with power locks and plug it into a Jeep with manual locks, the power locks are not functional, but the door open sensor still works.

Yes, that’s all I found :(

I pulled the trigger last night. 260 for a wheel that has 3000 miles on it. I’ll post a pick afterwards and what I found.

I have a leather heated steering wheel. I love it! Great for my arthritis. It it is not heated all the time. I have to push a button to turn it on. (It automatically comes on at 40 degrees or less, but I can turn it off). I don’t think you will have any issue in the swap. Tape off the wire and let it ride.
