So I have a 2020 Sport S with Max Tow and I really want to get LED fender lights. Preferably with sequential turn signal. I really like the Quake ones but (like all I’m finding) it says they don’t fit the Sport. Now I have a Sport S with Max Tow. Will they fit that? Is it more than just a fitment issue?
Do they even make what I want?
thanks

If you have the color matched fenders you can directly swap them out, see thread at link below. Just need to make sure you also get the wiring harness with the lights as you will need to replace that as well, the halogen harness doesn't have all the necessary wires but fortunately the plug in the engine bay where the harness attaches does have all the necessary wires.

I have done it myself and found the job is a bit of a pain in the ass since you either need to remove the entire fender or the liner in the wheel well, either of which requires disengaging a fair amount of clips/fasteners. Overall it is manageable with good trim/clip removal tools, minor/moderate amount of skill, a lot of patience (yanking to hard often breaks plastic clips), and finally a programmer (JScan, etc.) which allows changing the parking lights setting to LED.

Best of luck,
KW

thanks for the response. I’m a little confused.

I’m looking at these but they say they don’t fit Sport but they do fit Max Tow. I thought the Max Tow was only available on the Sport and it is part of what makes it Sport S. Am I wrong?

No, Sport S and Max Tow are independent. Sport S is a package added to the base Sport which essentially creates another trim level in between the Sport and Overland trims. Max tow is a separate option that can be had on either a Sport or Sport S.

In any case, the key for you is whether or not you have painted fenders, if so then they are compatible. My understanding is that the Sport S color matched fenders are the same as the Overland ones, which is why the OEM LED parking lights will fit in either.

Ok. I do not have color matched fenders. So I don’t have an option?

If you look further within the thread I provided, someone else mentions the Max Tow fenders with OEM two bulb halogen setup should work as well.

Specifically post: https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...-rubicon-front-turn-signals.36380/post-590686.

So if you have the two bulb halogen setup it should work. Can't say for sure because mine are color matched, Non-Max Tow but I also had the two bulb halogen setup before switching.

I did read that but I guess I don’t fully understand it. Should I be looking for a total of 3, 2, or 1? I guess I understand it as if I have 2 bulbs in my fender then I should be able to fit the Quake lights I want. Correct?

Correct, 2 bulbs in the front, blinker and drl/running light.

i was under impression that the max tow package gets the same fenders as rubicon? If thats correct then the Quake LEDs work great - i just installed them on my rubicon that did not come with LED package. The fir may not be 100 percent factory but not visible from 2 feet away. Installation is pretty straight forward, no error codes.

That is wrong. The Rubicon and Mojave fenders sit higher.

I believe the Max Tow uses regular fenders with a little extra lip in them. But I'm not sure of that. I am however sure that it doesn't use the same fenders as the Mojave or Rubicon.

Below is my fender and light setup. It’s day time so hopefully you see can what I have. If I’m reading all the comments correctly in this thread then the Quake lights I want will work. Correct?
