We like to camp, but we don't know that a real travel trailer is the route for us. It tends to be fair weather or winter (in Louisiana that means still warm sometimes) and I like that I can stuff a pop up into some tighter places as one of my favorite camp places is mostly just primitive sites in the woods you access via gravel trails.

Maybe in the next year or two I'll find a pre loved one that fits the budget and grab it.
We have a small AC unit we take if its warm and a disc heater. It get friggin hot inside. There are lots of nice popups out there with lots of great feature, most now have smaller heaters with options for AC. Jayco specs on for Canada which is one of my favorite models, freeze rated water pips, insulated floors, some have under protections for rougher terrain and cassette toilets are the way to go IMO. and showers. I doubt we would even ever use and onboard toilet but it will deffinatly expand options.

The extreme packages are super nice the 232 is a 23 footer. I like teh 1910 or 1930 they are less than 20 feet and the dinette slide out is also super nice. 2020-2021 may be is rough shape because of the covid boom but you can find super clean and super nice units for a decent price. The market is so saturated is hard to move popups right now and probably for the next 8 years LOL

Be careful of pop ups down there. We had one when we moved down but soon offloaded it due to the humidity. It ate the canvas type siding alive in short order. This was years ago and not sure how technology on material has changed though.

We have that problem with regular tents, roof top tents, car weatherstripping, outdoor chairs, etc 😂 Nature of the game down here. I dont see us using a hard side RV enough to ever buy one. At that point i'll buy a boat instead I think.

Just got this '24 Gladiator Rubicon 2 weeks ago (13,300 miles), moved my 315/70R17 Firestone Destination MT2's from my old JKU Rubicon, tested the towing performance today with our Flagstaff 1910 ESP and a new bluetooth trailer brake controller - everything is good except for fuel mileage (15.5 MPG with no trailer, 12 with trailer). My old '10 JKUR with 6 spd averaged almost 20 and this thing is way under the EPA 17/22 - other than that very happy with it. Heading to MOORE in Springfield next week!
