I've been researching lift kits for the last couple months while I was shopping for my Gladiator. Now that she's mine it's time to start on emptying every pocket.

I've landed on the @Clayton Off Road 3.5" Premium kit, but want to make sure while I'm doing the lift I take care of most of the suspension "gotchas" while I'm in it. Heres my current list, but would love to hear what everyone else has done.
  • Clayton 3.5" Premium Kit
  • Clayton HD Sprint Upgrade
  • Clayton Adjustable Read Track Bar (would like to be able to have my spare for my daily driving in the stock location after I move up to 37s)
  • Fox 2.5 Performance Elites or 3.0 FRS
  • Drive shafts?
  • Extended brake lines?
  • Yeti Sector Shaft Brace?
What else is everyone's MUST DO upgrades?

You seem to be wanting more lift than I ended up with, so my setup (Mopar 2" lift and the skinny 35" Mickey Thompsons) is probably not all that useful to you. I mainly wanted to tell you that you already have a really nice truck in stock form. Gator was the only OTHER color I considered this go 'round.

Steering box brace kit- steer smarts or synergy…. And a pressure booster kit with a cooler for steering.

front driveshaft only if you are going with long enough front shocks to justify- otherwise just wait and replace if the issue comes up.

Are you set on that “kit”? Any reason why not to go with a triangulated rear and a long arm front? Just curious your thoughts that drove you to your decision. Personally I hate the chop with the rear pan hard bar… and the artech front long arm in my opinion is the nicest front end ride…..

Thanks! I do like it as is, but I just can't leave "well enough" alone. We have the Mopar lift running 35s on my wife's JKU and it's fine, but I'm planning to do a lot more overlanding and trails.

For sure a steering box brace is a must. I'll have to look into a pressure booster kit, that wasn't even on my radar yet. And for the lift, I'm not "set" on anything until it's on the way. Since she is brand new, I wasn't going to do a ton of cutting and welding right off the bat, and with the Clayton I can move up to their long arm down the road.
