I really liked heavily photographed Stingrey Mopar Gladiator that was his show stealer at the LA auto show. (you know the one!) It appears to be set up almost identically to the Gravity.

2 inch lift : How could that be good for trailer stability?

35 inch tires : Again, taller sidewalls might be less stable?

1/2 inch additional offset wheels: This looks like it might help somewhat but I’m guessing it would be negligible? I really like the wheels they used on both of these vehicles. Do they look like the tires protrude beyond the fenders, thus, throwing every mud puddle all over the side of your vehicle? Would that cause you to regret the tube doors?

I’ll be towing a 4500 pound high clearance off-road pop-up camper. It’s short and high so rather unstable to begin with.

At least FCA won’t be offering a trailer brake controller to complicate things. (TOC)

… Of course this wouldn’t stop me from moving forward with this. It’s just too cool. Same thing with a manual transmission. I just can’t help myself. : )

All of those things will have an effect on towing stability. Depending on what kind of lift you do, most off road shocks and springs tend be softer than standard suspension seen on vehicles that are more towing capable. If you plan to tow heavy I recommend getting airbags at least in the back.

Tires also play a big part in stability. You'll definitely want to air your tires up when you're towing. Also the more sidewall you have to more sway/compression you will have. I have no idea the technical term, but think of your tires tracking a straight path, but your wheels being able to being able to sway side to side inside on the tire.

Lastly, the wider stance should give more stability.
