I don't think there is a tire in the 12.5 range lighter than the KO2Hello
I've only seen the Kendas in 35/10.5/17, so not sure if there are other tires out there, but most are in 12.5.
Is there anything lighter than the KO2's?
I don't think there is a tire in the 12.5 range lighter than the KO2
for reference the 35x12.5-17 KO2 is 66.5lbs the pretty much same size tire in a 315 70 17 BFG KO2 is 62.4lbs in E rated and 63lbs in C rated.
That's about as light as I've seen and the reason I run them, plus they are one of the best riding and best all around tire you can get for a daily driver.

Yeah I thought the same thing but I don't think it's enough to matter. When I move to 37's it will more than likely be 37 12.5-17 KO2s, 71.3 lbs is lighter than a lot of 35's are and it will measure a little over 35 mounted so will be a true 35. Now to figure out how to wear these 315 70 17 faster. I don't think I can wait another 18 months for these to wear out. It's weird that the C rated tire is heavier than the E rated? (although not by much)

So your telling me your 315 70 17 KO2s measure 34.5 on your JTR if I'm reading that right because mine measure 33.8 mounted on max tow running 33psi in the tires. I haven't remeasured them since I went up to 43psi but I will and report backUnfortunately the 315 70 17's KO2's wear like iron for an AT. The 315/70-17 KO's were OEM for the H2 in '06 and wore very well, but the KO2's wore even better. 40K easy on a heavy truck like the H2. You're stuck for a while!
Also, I'm curious about the 37's measuring true 35"? The 315's are 34.5's, when I ran 37" ProComp MT's they measured 36.5" for the Hypertech speedo correction (which was on the money according to GPS). This makes me think the KO2's are *really* undersized as 37's.
I measured the 315's I put on my JTR again, I didn't trust to memory, and they are 34.5's vs 32.5 for the Falken AT takeoff's. My 33x10.5-15 KM2's on my YJ were 32's, I measured before I swapped on the Falkens.
Yeah I'm on my 4th set but with amount of driving I do I normally put about 20000-25000 miles a year on a vehicle I daily drive. Just cleared 9000 in 5 months of ownership in the JT and the tires have been on there since 100 miles in. If I could get $500 for them now I'd be incline to sell them and buy the 37's.Unfortunately the 315 70 17's KO2's wear like iron for an AT. On them measuring 34.5 mounted, I just measured them again and they are only measuring 33.8 with 43psi. Am I measuring something wrong. I'm measuring from the ground, concrete driveway, to the top of the tire and that's what I'm getting. I know 34.4 is the manufacturers measurements for the tire but in my experience I have never had any measure that exact measurement. Also don't see how the same tire could measure differently on basically the same vehicle. They measured that height before I put the front bumper and winch on.
I did not but the speedo is dead on in mine set at 33.8. I just eye balled it but I don't see me being 3/4 of a inch off eye balling it but I could be. I'll try it that way when I get back to the house. Are you measuring with a long level (bubble level) resting on the top of the tire? Make that level, then measure to the ground from the level. Measuring from the edge of the tire isn't really the edge.
You need that data point when you do your speedo correction for bigger tires, I learned the hard way by getting the wrong speedometer gears TWICE for my old Ranger. I was surprised the Falkens were real 33's from the factory, they looked so small on the JTR. They look LARGE on the YJ, though!

17x7.5 wheels. Still running the stock ones too. I really like mine also. How wide are your wheels? I like the OEM's despite they are 7.5" wide.
@brianinca you measured your Rubi Falkens at 33" while on your JTR? The reason I asked is because I just measured my JTR wheel/tires with a level and they were exactly 32". Just curious.
