I can't find any info on if the kurt hitch receiver will work on aftermarket rear bumpers. I'm running the raptor magnum rear bumper. All the reviews say you have to drill through top of oem bumper and then some say you don't. Anyone know for sure ?

The Hitch Receiver you want is one that bolts to the frame (Class 4), like what you would get if you had the factory Tow Package installed. The Mopar Part Number is 82215648.

Curt only shows a Class 3 receiver available for the Gladiator on their site.

You would need to contact the bumper manufacturer with questions about bumper towing capability. Support is usually for a much lower capacity than a frame mounted receiver.

I’m sorry I can’t say 100% one way or the other, but I don’t think it’s going to work. I replaced my OEM hitch and added the Magnum rear bumper after being rear-ended.

It looks like the Kurt hitch bolts will hit the Magnum bumper step. It’s close to the same shape as the OEM plastic bumper but not the same. I posted a pic in case that helps.

So you have the oem receiver on with the magnum bumper in the picture? I guess that's my only option then. I wanted to save some money vs the Mopar one but If nobody knows for sure then I don't really wanna deal with the hassle. Thanks
