My original plan was to keep the Max Tow from bumper, as it seems everyone has an aftermarket bumper. My truck is my daily driver and work horse, so I really did not want to add to much additional weight.
When, even casually looking at bumpers, shorties where nowhere on my radar. I can't find the post on here, but a fella put the LOD stinger on his Gladiator and for whatever reason it just struck a cord with me. The dimensions and proportions looked right, and the build quality looked like something comparable or better than factory.
I have no delusions that this is not a bit garish, and there is a fair chance a Gladiator never has to be saved from an endo, but I just really dig how much closer this brings my rig closer to that mini-power wagon look, I like.
I am so stoked I get to drive this everyday and it is so comfy. I am not gonna lie, driving around last night, in the back of my head, I was like, "go ahead and pull out, see if I care". Not that I would ever intentionally wanna harm anyone, but the quality and beefiness of the bumper is there.
I have forgone the winch for now as the additional weight, and fuss upfront really is not needed at the moment for DD. Also my hope was with the shorty I am not tooo much heavier in the front.
Overall extremely happy with the purchase. I will say the main bolts are a bit of a bar puzzle, but doable. Build quality, and packaging are super excellent!
Plan to get some better pictures when there is not 1/4 inch of ice on the ground.
Also forgot to add, I had to fab new resi holders for my shocks. The skid plate interfered. I basically just spaced them out a bit. Might build some protection later
