Long Distance with Motorcycle Hitch Carrier?

Only 400 lbs tongue weight with a vehicle that has a 7000 lb towing rating sounds off. I’m the only occupant if I haul a bike, and I don’t load up the bed at all. I don’t want to fool with a trailer because then I have to stay places that can accommodate it. I might roll the dice with a hitch receiver rack and this 400lb bike I have my eye on.

400+ pounds, way aft of your C/G, hanging off the bumper does weird things to the handling, suspension response, and ABS.
