Don't really see the point of a 3.5" Clayton lift if you're only going to go 35's, especially if you're only doing light off-roading and beach. Clayton under-reports their lifts (as do some other manufacturers), so you're going to get more than 3.5" of lift. My 2.5" Clayton lift almost netted me 4".
35's are going to look incredibly small underneath.

I also don't see a point in lockers if you're not going to use them either, although I do agree with re-gearing and with 35's (if you're really set on that), I would go no lower than 4.56.
OP said beach driving. Lockers may come in real handy.

Hey Ted. Greatly appreciate your advice regarding lift size. Yes, well aware Clayton lifts are higher than advertised. I was so on the fence between 2.5 & 3.5. Did a lot of research on this. Looked at a lot of pics. I have seen as you said 35's looking too small with this set up (3.5) then I have seen the 3.5 on 35's and it looked great. The 2.5 looked great on 35's in some pics then in some barley looked lifted or "stuffed" . Also, my thought was since I have a Sport S, not the Rubicon which has a higher fender, it may not look that bad. Did see another posted who said it's nice to have a little extra ground clearance. Also I believe the Clayton is towards the higher end of lifts in regards to quality and service I wanted to have this as one and done option. Between other toys and family I am trying to work with a budget and done want be disappointed with not enough lift. I knew I should of found a better hobby!!!

And I think where I was going with my original post was what may be needed for the initial setting up as to 1) Speedometer reset. 2) Something I read here on the forum that if something in a computer wasn't recalibrated, the Glad would run sluggish and not go past a certain speed. I wish I could find that post. All of the other fun parts will come in due time. Just found the pics of your Jeep in Showcase. Very sharp looking and love the color!

Something else to consider concerning the size lift:
If you go 2½” and it's too short, you can incrementally adjust it up with spacers.
If you get the 3½” and it's too tall, you need new springs and then you may or not need spacers with them anyways.

That is something to think about. I thank everyone for their responses. Either way, pics will be posted. Lift on back order.

FWIW going back to the tires. I swapped out the factory 33" Falkens after < 100 miles and can't overstate how dramatically the ride quality improved. Maybe it's the taller sidewall, maybe it's the lighter tire with less meat in the sidewall, or both.
