Looking for the Frame paint PPG code Anyone?

Due to heavy scratches from manufacturing and shipping I'd like to know the ppg code for the frame paint. And or make-up of it. Seems like a slightly thicker / softer matrix.. is it old school enamel?

After it's painted I'm going the route of fluid film.

I think most people are just going to tell you to forget about trying to track down the actual paint used by the manufacturer and use an off-the-shelf paint. I'm partial to Rustoleum oil-based brush-on semi-gloss black. That's what I used on my frame, and I also painted both my axles with it.

Here is my rear axle after 19 months, including 1 New England winter. The Rustoleum brush-on is very tough paint and it's easy to find, easy to use and relatively inexpensive.

Agreed. The paint is BLACK. I think you'll hit a wall trying to go further than that.

It's not body paint, so there's no need to dive into specific color codes (assuming there even is one).

Eastwood sells great chassis black paints. It's especially made to match original chassis paints.
I have used Rustoleum spray semi-gloss for some chassis restorations. Not a huge fan of their paints for other stuff but it does hold up down there.
