Advice Needed….. Frame Paint color……….

I use this Eastwood 2k chassis black. I paint the whole frame and axles with it while springs and shocks are off. It is shinny at first but very durable, dulls out after a few months and washes off very easy. One of my trucks is going on 4 years and no rust with hard winters. It only takrs about an hour to spray everything under the truck. 2 or 3 cans

My ‘23 is definitely a gloss black. I’ve touched up several spots, some with Ace Hardware brand gloss black, some with rustoleum gloss black. I’d be hard pressed to identify where any of them were sprayed ?‍

Funny story... some OCD genius decides to build a dragster and to appease his OCD, justified through "better aerodynamics and weight savings" (maybe), he ground down all the welds so it looked like the entire frame was one piece of tubing.

First time on the track, pops a wheelie, and the frame shatters like an icicle on pavement.

Crazy.

I know weight is important. If I wanted to shave 100 from my rig I'd start with me...yeah that's not gunna happen. There are just some things I'd do without or find a way to do it with less weight. The frame or arms and steering gear is a big no.

Quick question……. “””Frame paint””” spray can color???? Rustoleum satin black is way too shiny and Rustoleum flat black is too flat…….Does anyone have any advice for which spray can color is a good match up for the frame? Thank you!
