My 2022 white JTSS Max Tow (gas) is in shipping status, hopefully I’ll be driving it within a few weeks. As I do with all my cars, I’m creating a maintenance tracking file. To populate the correct intervals I downloaded the owners manual and referenced the schedule provided. However, I noticed few things and I’m hoping you all can advise me:
  • Replacing transfer case fluid - owner’s manual says only to replace every 60k miles if using the vehicle for fleet, police or frequent towing. I will infrequently tow my little Aliner (2,500 lbs). Is there generally accepted school of thought for transfer case fluid changers for more daily driven JTs?
  • Replacing Automatic Transmission Fluid - the manual references change the manual trans fluid but nothing about AT fluid? Is there a schedule for this?
  • Replacing Front and Rear Axle Fluid - the manual again references replacing only if using vehicle for fleet, police and frequent towing. Anything thoughts on a schedule for more daily driven JTs?
Thanks!
-Mike

According to the manual, the Automatic Transmission comes with a Lifetime Fill and does not need changed. There is no method provided for the owner to check, add to, or change the fluid.
I believe the differential fluid is recommended for change every 30K miles, or if it becomes contaminated.

I wouldn’t touch the transmission fluid it will cause problems, any vehicle I’ve ever had it changed in screwed up the transmission
