Manual Trans....what am I missing?

a motor vehicle is our horse, it's what gets us around this world, a good majority of us anyway, but you need to look after your horse, know how to ride your horse...can't do that, then you walk

come to think of it, did everyone have a horse back in the day? lot's rode in the wagon or went on foot...hmmm

thankfully we have many more options than that now, and much better boots for walking too

funny how these big picture super simple concepts get lost on us as a majority

I am a Jeep guy through and through.
In the past I have only owned manual transmission Jeep's.
When I bought my gladiator I bought the automatic simply because of the difference in the towing capacity.
I have a 5k lb. Trailer that I use often.(I have already pulled it more than 12k miles with my gladiator)
I agree driving manual is definitely more fun, and you get more feel for the vehicle.
Unfortunately with the gladiator the limits the manual come with are a negative for me.
From what I have read , the diesel will have similar limitations weight limits(maybe why it won't be offered in manual?)

I love my manual. That having been said, if it were my only vehicle it would've been auto with max tow.

I wouldn't hesitate to tow 6k with mine as is, but I don't have any need to with a cummins/69rAisin in my fleet. That having been said, I'll be upgrading the clutch/flywheel as well whenever they do need replaced.
