Still happy with the rack so far? How long did it take to ship to you in Vancouver?
Yeah still happy with the rack, I have not mounted anything to it yet but its holding good so far. I have my tent on there now as well and its doing great.

The rack was shipped on 7/17/2020 and it arrived to my door 7/27/2020 so about 10 days or so?

Does anyone have a tri fold tonneau that works with this Rack? I currently have a tri fold Tyger rebrand (OEDRO).
I’m wondering it it will still be usable. At least as a cover.

I am guessing it could work, but the trifold wont be able to open thats for sure. Also there might be gaps where the support beams mount into the trail system or sit on the truck bed.

The soft tonneau cover covers and hugs the lines really nice with a ridged one might not do so well.

@Blucid do I know of any affordable soft tonneau cover that will work? The cheapest I’ve seen is Bestop. I’m thinking of using my trifold temporarily.

I plan to cancel my order with Go Rhino as a tonneau cover will definitely help with security.

Not really, I only opted for the Factory Roll up one from mopar which I really liked. Because of my build I wanted one that can roll up and still use a bed rack. But as I found out the Mopar soft folding one is quite expensive.

I was able to get it installed yesterday. The side rail needs adjusted upward so that the rear rack brace can fit correctly.
Could you explain how you adjusted the side rail? I can’t figure how to make this work. Thank you in advance!

The T nuts pictured below and the T nuts supplied by Max Modular do not fit the Jeep Trail Rail system, they stick out too far from the rails preventing the bolt from tightening against the trail rails. These are commonly known as the Tundra T nuts and Jeep uses a different more shallow dimension that is in line with the threaded hole.

The reason it sort of works with the Max Modular products is because of another problem where the top of the bed rail overhangs the trail rails slightly causing the brackets to cant at an angle pulling away from the T nut slightly, avoiding the problem. But that causes another problem of the Max Modular brackets squishing into the plastic bed top rail deforming it.

I suggest you test any T nut by putting it in the trail rails then put the mounting bolt through a large fender washer and tighten down. You will probably find the washer tightens against the T nut well before it touches the edges of the trail rail and it just sits there rattling around and will never tighten.

The proper way to fix this is for Max Modular to supply the right T nuts instead of the wrong Tundra style and for them to either redesign the mounting bracket to deal with the top bed rail overhang, or supply a spacer washer. I encourage everyone with this problem to contact Max Modular and demand the correct T nuts and bracket or washer for the Jeep Trail Rails system.

Another way to deal with this problem is use a rubber or even a steel fender washer shown in the video in this thread. but this is a band aid for a problem that Max Modular should fix: https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...kb-voodoo-bed-rack-and-other-ramblings.48874/

Hey Max Modular, when are you going to start shipping the correct T nuts for the Jeep Trail Rail???

Yeah, I understand I mean you could give them a shout and see if they would send you some? I found these on amazon, and thats exactly how they look like not sure about the thread.

Now that I think about it I am sure they sent out generic ones they can buy because the ones that came with my hardware set dont really fit all that great, kinda loose until you tighten them.

And some of the stainless steel bolts they used for the hardware were a little too short so I went to Home Depot and got longer ones and its like the exact same bolts soooo... im thinking they just bought it from there.

Could anyone please measure your rack’s width? Mine is 50” at the top and seems to be too narrow. I can’t find a mistake with how I assembled it. When centered in the bed, it’s inches away from meeting the brackets. Are my cross bars too short?

If you loosen the bolts in the upper corners on all four sides to relax the shape will it then reach the mounts? I have the 22" high aluminum version and there is a silver color inner piece on the front and rear top pieces that will allow it to expand over quite a distance. I don't see that on your version.

thanks for the reply! No, I can’t find any adjustment possibilities. The bolt holes are one size, not slotted. Yeah, my bars are fixed width.

I assembled mine per instructions and set it on the truck and it didn't fit very well so I loosened the upper corner bolts I mentioned and it relaxed the shape allowing me to manipulate it into fitting the trail rails. Then I tightened the corner bolts up for a perfect fit after the trail rail bolts were in. It fit except for the wrong T nuts and the bracket hitting the top bed rail of course. I don't have the tonneau cover risers so mine bolts right to the trail rails.

I just double checked and mine has zero adjustment. They clearly sent me the wrong crossbars.

Are they going to send you the correct crossbars?
