Thinking about upgrading the speakers in the sound bar to 6x9. Trailseven has a nice kit that comes with a template to enlarge the holes in the soundbar. I already have the kicker 8 inch sub to install so looking more at getting kicker marine speakers but crutchfield doesn't include a template. Or my other option is to just get kicker speakers in the factory sizes. I'm not looking to add an amp unless really necessary. What do you all think?

Thanks

I’d go with 6.5” speakers. More options and they usually sound better.

I’d also add an amp so you can put those new speakers to good use.

Sound bar is to small (air space) for a good 6x9

I did the soundbar pods and the MB quart 6.5" component speaker kit and it's 300% better than stock. At first I wasn't impressed, but after using it at high volume the difference is so obvious.

I chatted with Crutchfield and they recommended JL Audio C1-650 component system for the soundbar. 6-1/2" speakers with separate tweeters. Also recommended an Alpine S2-A36F amp if I needed an amp. Probably going to go with Crutchfields recommendation on the speakers. Unless I see something else. I have noticed though that the music on my thumb drive sounds better than listening to sirius xm.
