I’ve always liked the look of the Patagonia MT-02’s and ready to spring for some for my ‘23 Gladiator Rubican.
I go to Discount Tire and they keep trying to talk me out of them!
They say a lot of them vibrate and won’t balance.
Has anyone had these or other issues with them?

No issues on my wife’s Pats as of yet, she had the originals for 4+ years on her 2018 when we traded it in. Only problem I had was a huge gash in the tire after only 850 miles of use, only to find out that the tire shop had no warranty and wouldn’t budge on a discount for a replacement.

Last month I bought 5 of the 40" X/T to put on our JK from our local Discount Tire with the warranty. The worst tire took 7oz, the best 1oz of weight. Tires drive wonderful at 70mph, very low noise, feel very good on wet streets. I was hoping for a more cost-effective option to a BFG AT for light duty off road. I have a buggy for the crazy stuff, this rig is more of a daily driver, Colorado, Moab stuff.

My Discount Tire did not try to talk me out of them, said they have had good success with the brand and no more issues than any other brand.

Wheeling with some folks today and one of the wranglers had a set of Pats. He took a tree root to the side wall and ripped it from the wheel to the tread. I couldn't believe the cut in that sidewall. But I guess it could happen to any brand if the conditions are right. Seriously though, a 6-7" completely ripped open side wall.

They’re C rated, so not much sidewall there. That’s why they’re on the lighter side of the spectrum.

I've had at least three sets of them in 35". Not the 02's though. Currently have a set of 37's in the 02 model and they are poor compared to the earlier version. The sidewalls are plenty tough, as tough as any of the other brands. I have seen other brands get ripped sidewalls on rocks and debris so that isn't an issue. It happens to all of them. They are great traction tires and I run them year around on both my JK and my JT. The 35" were high mileage tires but the set of 37" I have now seem to wear faster. Two of the four I bought were badly out of round when new but drive well enough I kept them. They are louder than the 35" were. Don't know why they went to the 02 version when the original was so good. I will probably get a new set when these are worn enough but if I have out of round issues with them again they are going back and I'm done with the brand. The tires balance well so not sure why they are out of round. Good luck to you.
