Just had a set of 40” XTs installed on my JTRD so I’ll try to update this thread with my impressions also. Coming from a 37 Falken AT3W the XT is as quiet and maybe even smoother riding. I’m a bit disappointed in the tread depth, Milestar advertises a 19/32 tread depth, I measured 17/32 with 0 miles on them. I’ve measured the Falkens and Cooper STT Pro at their advertised depth when new and 16/32 at 15k miles so I’m kind of feeling this brand new tire is starting life with 10-15k miles, maybe that’s why their not getting as much mileage out of them. Curious if anyone else has experienced this. Also for a 40” tire this measures at 38.5” @35psi on my 6500lb truck, 39.5” with no weight. In fairness the 37” Falken measured 35.25”.

Just pulled the trigger today on a set of XT 40s today. I was looking at Mt 02 but the cost made me go to the XT. Discount Tire should have them this week.

I still like mine. 8,000 miles on 40x13.50R17LTs, 2,400 of those miles towing our 5,500 lb Nobo 19.3 trailer. The tires are still round, very quiet and handle heavy rain, ice and snow very well. Seem to be wearing well , about 3/32 so far.

Thank you, it’s hard to find reviews on these!

How does the JTRD handle towing with the 40 inch tires? Do you have it on a Canadian diet yet? Also, how are the XT tires wearing? I am on the fence between them and the MT02 and they aren't that different in price at the moment. Discount Tire has the MT02 for $29 more a tire.

The JTRD handles great towing. I haven’t done any Canadian mods yet, I do have the GDE tune and have geared to 4.88. I now have 15,000 miles on the tires they’re wearing good with 14/32 left.
