Do those of you with a replacement front bumper feel that you are hitting your front bump stop a little too often? I'm not hauling ass off road (yet) though I do have a lot of gravel roads that I drive.

I'm considering the AEV 2" spacer lift for my Mojave. With this, it has bump stop extensions. Would it be bad to not install these to get the travel back into the front end?

If you don't install the bump stops, you may end up bottoming-out the shock absorbers, which is not a good thing and can ruin a shock.

The Mojave will engage the front bump stops earlier than other models because they are hydraulic and progressive in nature.

Ideally, you should add a spacer to re-establish the factory ride height after installing a heavier bumper. But, if you do this, you should make sure that the spring won't become coil-bound at max uptravel. Chances are it won't if you are only using a 1/2" or 1" spacer, but it is always a good idea to check.

My city streets we have low "whoop de doos" at many intersections for water drainage and my Mojave makes clunking noises over those if I'm doing more than about 10mph. I believe its the bump stops as the noise and feeling only comes from the front. I've done various off roading and don't recall hearing the same noise.
