Finally got the panel in! I've been cooking up this overhead switch panel for months. Took forever to piece together the switch panel, the box it's mounted on and playing with space issues between the overhead rack and the radios. (CB and GMRS) Everything fits nicely. It took some creative placement and took a while to figure out how to power all the switches and the radios

Now, I just have to run the wiring down to a relay box under the hood or (maybe the driver's side cowl?)
run the power to the lights and then finally decide how to mount the ditch lights because I went and did the rugged ridge snorkel. I can only run the low profile version until I figure that part out.

Love this. Concorde's page was a hoot too. I may need to find a place for the chemtrail switch.

I've got the Fortunate Son switch as well. I've got to find a place to mount it LOL

Be careful, LOL, I've hit my head on it 3 times as I reach across the truck. I'll get used to it being there eventually

Resurrecting. Love this approach. Any feedback after almost a year of running it?
It's still an evolving project! I've added MagnetMic mic mounts on the sides of the box to hold the mics. I still want to clean up the wiring up top some more but I did get with S-Tech Switch Systems to get their relay box and wires so I could run a much thinner wire down the side of the windshield frame. It beats the homemade wiring rats nest I was coming up with. I still have to clean up the power wires and antenna coax on top of the molle panel. I haven't found a way to cover the top of the molle panel to my satisfaction quite yet, so the wiring is exposed to the elements when I have to freedom panels off. I'll post some more update photos so you can see it's current state.

I dig it! Thanks for the update and the photos. While its tempting to go with a turn-key cheaper option, I'm definitely leaning for the style option now. Why did you go with S-Switch for the relay? I'm not versed in the electrical arena, so I'm apprehensive to venture out on my own. haha

The short answer: I wanted toggle switches and s-switch gave me the ability to do it.

Long answer:
Well, I knew from the start I wanted my own switches. I had an auxbeam panel before, and while it was effective, I'm more of a tactile person and wanted the positive feedback of the toggle switches. The push buttons are kinda boring. So, now with old school switches comes with the requirement for more, thicker wires. I knew I was going to get a little out of my depth and am not confident with wire sizes and power draw. In order to run the old style toggles, I needed to run bosch style relays. S-Switch was happy to give me a wiring/relay box setup that was correct for the lights I'm running and it came all prewired and protected. Wiring from switch to relays was as thin as possible and removed my anxiety over power draw.

This is EXACTLY what I have been trying to put together. I can't thank you enough for posting the link to Concord. I'm curious however in your search for the mounting solution. the Motobilt bracket seems to check all the boxes, but it looks oversized. was there any other solution you toyed with (or perhaps building your own)?

DO you mean the motobilt box the switches are mounted on? Unfortunately, no. There are a lot of companies out there that have boxes like this. They supply industrial applications mostly for companies that build machinery and control panels. Even Grainger had a few. I almost went with another one but I found actual photos of the motobilt box and the dimensions were close enough so I went with them. I still casually hunt for another box to mount the switches to but I haven't found anything so much better that it would be worth taking it all apart and rebuild it.

Concord is awesome to work with. They are super responsive and go out of their way to help out.
Love them!
