This started by buying a couple of the magnetic holders. I had in mind to attach them to the inside of the console, but after a quick look and holding them up in there it wasnt going to work very well.

So then I stumbled across these molle panels...

I was going to make them myself, but for less than 20 bucks why bother. It comes with two panels and 4 new screws, plus some velcro strap, some small screws with nylock nuts, and some cheap cording with quick release things.

I attached the magnets to the panel. Simple but had to drill out the holes in the magnets for the screws I had. Then bolting the panel into the console is even easier...pull the two screws on the top, slide the panel down, and secure using two new screws that are provided.

I cant say it is a perfect solution. It is not exactly convenient to draw from the console, but it is exponentially better than when it was just in there in a holster.

With that said...easy little project for less than 40 bucks. Fits an M&P 40 fullsize with a spare magazine and few metric c-hairs to spare.

At this time I am only installing the one panel. I dont need the other, although a small flashlight and knife wouldnt be bad to toss over there...maybe next weekend.
