Mopar fuel filter is entire housing?

I swear by Docs, use them both my diesels now. I use their 5w40 (It's just rebranded Hotshot 5w40) as well for my deleted RAM EcoDiesel, will likely swap to it for my Gladiator once I delete it as well.

I still use Mopar filters, but Docs appears to meet the three areas of concern.
1. Surface area to collect contaminates
2. Flow
3. Micron size

Any spec sheet from Docs or just what they are claiming on their website?

The mopar filter appears like a 2 stage/layers media hence the cotton texture while others are smooth like paper.

I would have to ask. I know that Doc's provided some data sheets. The guy I know works within the filter/lubrication industry, so they have a lot of inside information on who is making what filters.

That is a wild statement. Dealer doesnt care about your filter guru when its time for warranty work. Save 20 bucks to decline 20k in warrantied engine work, so very smart. Come on man! They may be very similiar or made by the same oem but you and I both know a dealer will look for any excuse.

It's not a wild statement nor are you following the thread closely. We are not discussing warranty. Instead, we are discussing what other fuel filters are adequate for the EcoDiesel.
