Since I've had my gladiator almost a year now and still haven't found a steel takeoff locally, I've started looking into buying a new Mopar bumper. Went to all mopar parts and saw that there are more than the standard steel bumper out now. What's the difference in the Rubicon bumper and the "off road" bumper? Guessing a heavier gauge of steel, but not seeing it in the specs. And will the grill guard, skid plate and closeout panel all fit this one? If I'm buying new, figure I might as well get the best one for a $200 difference. Link here for the off road: https://www.allmoparparts.com/sku/82215691ad.html compared to the standard one here: https://www.allmoparparts.com/sku/82215121ab.html Thanks!

Looks like you can't remove the "wings" (end caps) on the off road bumper to make it a stubby like you can with the standard steelie. But the off road bumper has d-rings that should accept a shackle that the standard bumper doesn't have. Seems kind of like a wash to me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That's what I saw as well

Looks narrower too, so it's always semi-stubby. Not quite wingless, but it'll hit obstacles before your fenders do. That's a plus, to me. It's wider up top but narrow at the bottom to stay out of the way. Not sure if it's tougher or not. They both claim toughness. I like the Rubicon one better, but I'm admittedly biased. The fact that it accepts d-rings is nice.

I'd just buy an Ebay/Amazon knock off but my 4x4 shop swears that they've had nightmares with some of them fitting. I've heard someone on here say it went on easily, so who knows. Also don't love the idea of trying to find something to fill the sensor holes.
