Got to put the Mopar sun bonnet on last week talk about a Fail. 50 mph and flapping like crazy and end up with 2 holes where the straps connect extremely disappointed.

That type of fabric doesn't seem well suited for the purpose, sad that Mopar would put their name on something like that. I had a Bestop Cable Style Header Safari Bikini Top on my JK that was pretty solid, never tore up but did require the door surrounds and header. You might see what they offer for the JT.

Do you need the water proof top? I run mesh tops and love them bit of sun but really cuts down on the harshness and calms the breeze even at 70MPH. On my 2020 I used the JTops it was rock solid, but sadly they company doesn't make one for JTs with air bags - and what they made for the JL used Velcro, didn't look as solid at all. I went back to SpiderWebShade and no regrets.

Definite fail. They should have provided a cross brace of some sort to prevent that area from flapping like that - horrible. Mopar needs to redesign this and send you a refund.

Did they design it - or did someone else and they bought the design?

Once Mopar put their name on it, does it matter? They own it!
True.

Obviously the original design is flawed as well.

They must resolve this case but someone somewhere screwed up as well. They'll need to follow that trail.
(But likely won't)

I wouldn't know, but if they would put their brand on it I would think they'd make sure its top notch rather than something like this 😳

I ordered a Rugged Ridge Savannah Brief Top a year ago (had to return it because the holes didn’t line up) …. But dang, I wished it would’ve worked. It was a nice quality piece.

It had a steal bar that went across the back to prevent that flapping.

Props to RR, that steel bar going across the back is a smart idea.
