Hi all. Hoping you can help me out. I recently lifted my 2020 JT. This is not the first vehicle I have lifted but it is the first vehicle I have lifted with adaptive cruise control. Since the lift the ACC does not work. I receive an error message stating that the system needs servicing.

I did a limited search here and the web and it appears that as the rake and height of the vehicle have changed the system needs to be recalibrated. Is this something that can be done without going to the dealer? Has everyone who has lifted a Jeep with ACC had to deal with this? Maybe it’s standard procedure and I’m just completely unaware of it.

I also lost the backup camera and gear position indicator. This happened with my JL as well and a full disconnect of both batteries fixed that issue. Hopeful that will be the same case with the JT.

Thanks - Mike

At home remedies? No. You could try a windshield place but other then that or maybe a maintenance shop best bet is probably the dealer. Lifts are well known to throw off the ACC and should be expected.

Thanks for that. I had no idea. After thinking about it for a while I suppose it makes sense. Even though it’s a common issue I’m sure I’ll get the typical dealer BS. Oh well šŸ™„

There is a tool(leveling device) that attaches to the sensor by the mirror. There is an adjustment screw to level the sensor. Guessing could make the system work, but would you trust a guess with your kids in the back seat?

Windshield shop or if you trust your dealer not to rape you would be my choice on taking care of this.

I'm wondering if you started off level, therefore no change would be needed. If the OP corrected or introduced any rake, that might be his problem.

During the DASM (acc) calibration one of the questions it asks if the vehicle height has been modified. It then instructs you to go measure the driver and passenger side height and input the measurement.
You can do it at home, need witech subscription and an obd adapter. Much more cost efficient to have the dealer do it. They’ll probably bill for an hour. The last time I did mine took me 15 minutes from start to finish.

Yes my rear is currently on taller springs as a camper is being installed and I didn’t want it to squat. Would be really great if it resolved itself once it’s closer to level.

Dumb question, but is the steering wheel centered when driving straight? On our JLUR we lost the adaptive cruise function just from the steering wheel being off by maybe 10⁰. Straightened it out and after a few drives everything was back to normal.

This is a great point. The jeep can get very upset about alignment
