Adaptive Cruise Control failure yesterday

Did the dealer fix this or did it go away?

I had this happen on a road trip a couple days ago and it still won't go away after several key cycles.

It was windy and going 80 mph on the interstate it cut out

If the window is clean and not damaged over the radar box, and it does not return to normal after a key cycle, then a dealer visit will be necessary.

Took to the dealer, they said steering wheel was off and it needed an alignment.

If the steering wheel is very far off from 0 degrees while you are going straight, all sorts of weird stuff can happen. There are sensors that track every degree that wheel is turned from center. If that doesn't agree with other data, it will shut certain things down.
