I picked up a new rubi about a week ago. Of course, I want to be cool too, so parts it is.
If Jeeps were like firearms, I am confident enough that I could make a well informed decision on which parts to buy, but in this case, I have little to no experience with aftermarket off-road parts and their breadth of options, especially for this brand. I'm a buy once, cry once kind of guy, and while stuff happens, the more I can mitigate breakage or poor performance, especially long-term, the better.
So, I have done as much searching as possible and i'm considering a Clayton 2.5" OVERLAND PLUS lift kit. Their customer service and quality seems top-notch. I know they sell fox shocks as well, so i'm hoping to snag some of those also.
-Besides what comes in their kit, the shocks, and a new steering stabilizer (the one additional part), is there anything else a newbie should consider to ensure my rig is working the way it should?
-How will this setup (in theory) work with a loaded down rig and rooftop tent?
-How much room for later add-ons/upgrades will this kit allow me? (the adjustability of the components seems like it will help)
This rig will be used for daily driving, highways, and trails.
Thanks so much!
