Mouse nest?

So last week I noticed a horrendous smell coming from the wheel well (rear driver side). I've come to the conclusion I think a mouse has made a nest somewhere. Maybe above the wheel well liner. Has anyone removed this...or had a similar problem?

Spare tire maybe? Where ever they are you need to dispatch them asap before they start chewing your wires.
