anyone moved your satellite antenna? I was thinking about buy a new antenna and moving it to the exterior of the vehicle for better reception. my thought is I may try to mount it above the rear view mirror. of course that means drilling through the window frame.
why would i want to do this? because i am adding in a CoverKing headliner. behind that I am going the extra mile and adding in some sound deadner that has a foil backing. that is most likely going to have some effect on the reception. the other issue is we live on the beach and there are a lot of tall condo buildings on one of the main drags. those buildings block out signal when you get stuck in traffic (which is now daily). i even have drop out from time to time because of trees on a flat road.
