My Attempt at a Phone/GPS Mount

So I had this RAM mount sitting around from one of my old Harley setups (before they had GPS on the bikes) so I thought let’s see where I can put it in the Gladiator. Now the main mount is for a round handlebar but after some trial and error I found a decent place for it. Really was trying to attach it to my driver’s side ohh shit handle but due to the limitations of the mount I just could not get it to face how I wanted it to. So I came up with his. Will play with it for a while and see if I like it and if I don’t I will just take it off. Really thinking of this for a GPS unit more than my phone but will work for either. Let me know what you think!

Where did you get the balls that bolt into the handle bolts? I like them better than mine. Looks good!

Got em from Carolina Metal Masters. They have 2 different balls to sell. One mounts into the top or the bottom of the drivers side grab handle and the other one screws into the passenger side horizontal grab bar. FYI I first got one for the drivers side and liked it so much that I went ahead and got one for the passenger side. And when I got the second one I discovered that the RAM mount itself had longer grab arms. When and if you order one I highly recommended that you call them and tell them that you really want the shorter grab arms. Simple reason is that you really don’t have room for the longer arms on the drivers side, may get a tad too close to the steering wheel. And I frankly like the shorter arms on the passenger side. Don’t try to order it on line or you will end up getting the longer arms. They are running low on the shorter arms. Suggest that you call or email them to stress that or you may end up with the longer arms. A tad expensive but a great product. Oh and be careful with the glue for drivers side, drips and sticky, messy.

..and cutting a stainless steel masonry screw to the right size. The thread on the factory bolt is identical to a tapcon.

RAM mount has a ton of ball mounts attached to different bolt sizes. It’s just a matter of figuring out the bolt size, length and thread pitch so I order the right ones. I do like the other options your guys have posted as well.
