Truxedo quality warning - Just a heads up
About ready to give up on tonneau covers
My journey so far with trying to get a good tonneau cover. Two Truxedo Sentry CT's and an Undervover Ultra Flex.
Well replacement #4 arrived yesterday. A second Undercover Ultra Flex. I cracked opened the box with cautious optimism. I mean could I really be unlucky enough to get a fourth damaged tonneau cover damaged??? Looked over everything and saw no damage. Good to go. I already had the brackets and bulkhead seal installed from #3. So I was in the homestretch. Rails, cover and drain tubes and I was done. Installed the passenger side rail. Went to install the driver side rail and something wasn't right. Mind you I just got off working overnight shift and hadn't taken a nap. Maybe my head was a little foggy. Took a look again and figured out the problem. They packaged the tonneau cover with two passenger side rails. Seriously??? What are the chances???
So here I am six weeks out from my initial order and still don't have a functioning tonneau cover. Got in touch with Alex @RealTruck and he is going to take care of it of course. Even though none of this is my fault, I feel bad that he has had to do so much work for one single sale.
Here's hoping I will finally have everything right soon. If not I think I am just going to throw in the towel and accept the fact that someone obviously doesn't want me to have a tonneau cover.
