My experience with 315/70r17's on Max Tow

Oh, I have shock extenders for the front as well but am still on the fence as far as using them. It drives wonderful now so I may just keep it that way. Also, I did not like the non Max Tow shocks, Rubicon shocks rode smoother but rocked side to side excessively, but I am totally satisfied with the Max Tow shocks!

Update: I have driven out two tanks of fuel after both correcting for tire size and 1.5 spacers on front. I will report back after several thousand miles to follow up to report/confirm.

In the attached picture's you will see the MPG of the current tank as well as the average for two tanks. Also note the average speed was 40 MPH and it was combined city/highway with very little interstate.

On this particular Max Tow after the 315's I drove several thousand miles prior to correcting for tire size it was 20.3 MPG and indicated approximately 10% less.

After correcting and installing the spacers it indicated 21.1 after going 411 miles and the true MPG was 20.8 MPG. So a slight improvement even minus the rake after the 1.5 spacers on front.

Also after driving 411 miles the low fuel light was on and it showed 12 miles to empty and took 19.5 gallons. This is my second highest mile traveled on any of my three Gladiator's. I know that it is hard to believe but the Rubicon on 37's went 420 miles on exactly 20 gallons.

Next I am adding a tonneau cover as well as the .75 spacers on the rear. I am guessing that there may be a slight improvement. I will let you know.
