Gladiator is in the shop for some rust work (door pins and hinges) and the dealership provided me with a rental - a RAM 1500 with the 5.7 for the week. I travel about 130 km (80 miles) back and forth to work. There are obviously no mods to the RAM. Jeep/Stellantis really missed out not optioning this engine for the Glad. It would be perfect. Sigh. Maybe they just couldn't keep it cool. End lament.

That’s the feeling I get looking at the front end. The design turned out pretty tight for engine bay space.

As a consolation prize surely the I6 turbo is shoe horned into JT within 12 months.

The bimmer B58 I6 seems to shift the 2.7t Grenadier about promptly. There Hurricane should work very well in the somewhat lighter JT.
