What the hell is this. Popped open the hood and before I could see where it came from another person I was talking to grabbed this and handed it to me. I asked where he got it from and he said it was loose just sitting there and pointed vaguely toward the middle top of the engine. Any help would be appreciated. I was thinking some kind of HVAC cap. It has "Viking plastics 1/2" written on it.

I've seen something similar to this on refill bottles for brake fluid. Do you get service at a dealership recently? May have been left when they opened a new bottle to top off fluids.

Pitch it. Has nothing to do with the JT and probably everything to do with either a part or a fluid that went on/in the JT.

I agree that it looks like that, however I have not had it at the dealer yet or serviced by anyone else either. Matter of I checked the fluids before a road trip I just returned from and don't recall seeing that although maybe I missed it and it's been there the whole time.

Looks more like a protective cap than anything too important, just thought I'd hit up the forum. I have get to wrench on the engine in this yet, but I know from previous cars you become pretty familiar with all the odd fasteners so I thought someone may recognize it.
Hell it may have just blown in. Wish I got to see where it lay before it was moved. Was having an estimate for a full front PPF wrap and they wanted to look under the hood to see how it would wrap around the edges and one of them saw it and grabbed it.
