Hello,
I am looking for some assistance regarding my Jeep's steering and alignment after installing a Steer Smarts YETI XD Drag Link.
My Jeep currently has a 3-inch lift kit and 37-inch tires. After installing the lift and replacing the factory drag link with the YETI XD DragLink, I took the vehicle back to the shop that installed the lift. Unfortunately, they were unable to properly align the Jeep.
I then contacted Steer Smarts for assistance and was referred to a dealer about 52 miles from my home called Texas Truck Works, which sells Steer Smarts products and stated they could perform the alignment. After paying for the alignment and driving the Jeep, I noticed thesteering wheel was still not centered and the Jeep continues to pull to the left, which is the same issue I was experiencing before.
When I returned and discussed the problem with the shop, they showed me the alignment readings on their computer and stated thateverything was within specification and that there was nothing further they could do. They also mentioned that they had stopped selling theYETI XD Drag Link because they had experienced issues with it in the past.
I contacted Steer Smarts again to explain the situation and ask if there were any other recommended shops in the Houston area that couldhelp diagnose and correct the issue. However, I was informed that the only other recommended location was in Dallas.
At this point, I am looking for recommendations for a qualified shop in the Houston area that is experienced with lifted Jeeps, Steer Smartssteering components, and proper alignment of vehicles with 37-inch tires.
Any assistance or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
