I foung this under the passenger seat of my 2021 gladiator. Parts dept does not know what it is. I'm sure it goes somewhere..

It looks like the piece from the left side of the glove box, it controls the opening speed.

As Mtpisgah said it is part of the glovebox,I was changing the cabin air filter on my old jeep jt gasser and that thing fell out but yes I can assure you it's part of the glovebox

It allows the glove box to slowly open rather than open unsupported. There 's a guide it slides into under the dashboard.
