New Overland with a $52,315.00 list price. Dealer showed me his invoice that showed a cost of $49,520.00. Seems to me that is a very small difference between retail and their cost. Can any one confirm that is the difference that they work on?

Seeing that this is a 2020 and the 2021's should be arriving soon, what do you think would be a fair price to offer them below or at the $49,520 cost price???

Thanks for any help on this. I hope to close a deal on Monday.

Invoice means nothing. A false number to call a "good deal".

A dealer pays between 3% and 7% below invoice.

I just bought a Mojave for 3% under invoice and considered it a good deal.

How do you handle the Freight Charge of $1,495.00 ? I understand that is a fixed number that the dealer pays, which is on the MSRP and the dealer invoice. The suggestion of $5,000 off MSRP, does that include the FRT charge? Or, do you take that off MSRP and take the 5K off the remaining MSRP number?

Based on the Jeep.com web pages there is a $2,000 dollar CASH discount in my area for an Overland with the "Popular Equipment Package" (which already includes a $2,240 savings)

Thanks loads for all and any help.

We pay the freight . It is added on at the end, no discounts

So lookie here https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...diator-pricing-worksheet-google-sheets.17566/

There is a great worksheet that can guide you on pricing for each model - you should shoot for 3-7% under invoice as mentioned above.
