Disconnected sway bar
Not in Mojave.......... That sway bar disconnect is a Rubicon thing.

Oh. Thanks EciDIEGO. they didn't have a rubicon x on the lot. So if the rubi doesn't have the same comfy seats as the Mohave that might be the deal breaker.
While the seats were nice - I frankly didn't see a big deal over the comfort of the Mojave X over my Overland leather seats. The convenience of power adjustments 100 different ways is nice, really like that, but for sitting and driving, it was a wash. Don't get me wrong - they are nice, but for me, it's the POWER seat bit (and most importantly, for my wife)

I've always considered the JT seats I've had to be comfortable. Granted, I have not driven a Mojave X 1200 miles almost non-stop, so I can't swear there's no difference over time.

Are you the type to always expect to have a vehicle bank note to pay on?

There is always another model year around the corner and being in the same boat again.

There is something to be said of having it paid off and that money saved can usually offset future repair costs to a point in time.

For the record, I bad at financial advice. I just have been lucky the last 10-15 years to be able to afford my impulses and have enjoyed having paid off vehicles (usually).
Yeah, but you're pretty good at logic and considerations otherwise.

The only extra underbody skids the Mojave gets over the sport or any other lower trim is the front skid (same as Rubicon). If you want front and rear lockers, you still gotta add it to the Mojave. I personally think aftermarket lockers that don't require specific vehicle checks to enable them give you more control.

Not trying to talk you out of it, but there were some things you glanced over.

As far as resale that someone else mentioned, of course a vehicle you spend $20k more on upfront will sell for more later. It may sell quicker than a base sport, but you'll still likely lose about the same amount selling later on regardless of trim.

Any electrical problems on te 2020. If not, maybe keep it. Otherwise, get a 2024. Not a 2024.

I would be a cash buyer. at 0% I take the loan. I hadn't planned to buy new but the draw of those comfy seats for this old man's back.....

Given the Mohave doesn't meet my needs and the rubi doesn't offer the same seats I will likely continue with my build plan on the 2020
Maybe @AllMoparParts.com have the seats for sale.

I did add Apex AutoLYNX disconnects tho....disc those all time. I don't think I would want the Rubicon electric disconnect. I don't want to run a tazer to keep it unlocked.

Been in enough swamp mud to know I will be better with front/rear lockers. If I stay out of the mud rear only would be fine

To clarify - I assume you mean to have both, you have to add front locker - Because Mojave has rear locker.......... is that not correct?

I could have phrased it clearer, that if he wants the pair of lockers, THE FRONT specifically needs to be added (I think we all know what I meant ?). Yes Mojave comes with a factory rear locker.

I drive an Overland, my wife has a Rubicon............ so wanted to be sure. For all I knew, it was a 2024 thing with the orange trim.

Seems like the best solution is add a set of Mohave front seats to the list of build for the 2020.

I am torn still but building the sport seems like my answer

Thanks again. Knowing about the Mohave only seats helped me a lot here.

1) Nothing it cooler then having a paid off vehicle; plus interest rates suck now
2) Building a truck to your specs is way more fun.

I would look on Copart for a Mojave that has been a theft recovery or hit in the rear and harvest all the parts you want then sell everything else of value to recoup some cost of the build.

Here is a perfect example: https://www.copart.com/lot/39402464/salvage-2022-jeep-gladiator-mojave-oh-dayton

You could sell the color matched top for an easy $2000 on Marketplace, the bed for another fast $4000 and the list goes on.
