Okay fellows,wanting to change jt front bumper with new steel ,winch bumper. Will a mohave or Rubicon with plastic bumper skid plate work with these?

Thanks , this not what I'm wanting to do. I'm wanting an after market winch bumper. Most don't have skid plates. Wondering if a OEM mohave skid or a Rubicon skid that goes with a plastic bumper will work with these after market bumpers? Thanks for your reply.

Not usually.

Nope! Unless you find an aftermarket with a skid plate. But do you really need it. The metal skid is there to mainly protect the sway bar disconnect. Didnt have a skid plate on my Overland with AM bumper and winch.

Look at teh Rugged Ridge Venatore bumper. I get lots of compliments.

I just notched my Rubicon skid plate to fit the new metal oem bumper

My Rubicon came with plastic bumper and metal skid plate. When I installed my LOD bumper I had cut off about 1/2" off the front of the skid with grinder and cutoff wheel but it fits and looks fine
