Thanks Mark! I love the product! I may wind up with one eventually. And I'm willing to pay a little more to support the home team. It's just too high for my budget at this point. I hope to see a sale sometime down the road.

Thanks for addressing a big issue with the Sun rider!
Thanks again for the support, Dan! 🇺🇸 We totally get the budget factor and do run sales from time to time, so hopefully, you’ll catch one down the road. Glad you love the product!

So have you driven it on the highway yet? How much does it quiet the cab? Thanks for the pics!
I can definitely tell a difference in the wind noise. Usually on my way to work I get a decent amount of cross wind and it is noisy. With this I could tell a reduction in the wind noise. I was up to about 70 mph too

Just got mine installed, and it's a massive reduction in noise.

That's awesome to hear! Reducing wind noise was a big goal with this headliner, so we're glad you're noticing the difference—especially at highway speeds! Thanks for sharing your experience and thank you for your business!

I just got mine delivered today. Living in FL, I will probably just leave the marine layer exposed since those open top days are random and year around.

I have not driven with it (tomorrow morning) but the thing I noticed is that the Velcro doesn't line up with the bars when the marine side is exposed. I didn't put it the other way to ensure it worked that way (probably should but later).
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’ve seen a couple of similar cases and discovered that while the Bestop Sunrider is compatible with all Gladiators, there seem to be two different versions with slight differences in the inside crossbars. Can you please email us at [email protected] and we'll make sure to make things right!
We’ve seen a couple of cases where the fitment was off, and after looking into it, we found that there are actually two slightly different versions of the Bestop Sunrider out there. The front crossbar is about an inch different on some of them, even though they have the same SKU# and come in the same material (Premium Black Twill vs. Black Diamond).

We’ve already updated our headliner for the Sunrider so that it fits all versions moving forward, so this won’t be an issue anymore!

If anyone has fitment concerns or questions, just reach out to us at [email protected]. We’ll make sure you’re taken care of!

Hey there, mine arrives on Monday, can't wait.

I've got a quick installation question for you. Is it possible to install this with the Sunrider off the vehicle? The reason I ask is I have mesh sunscreens installed, and it's easier to uninstall/reinstall the Sunrider than it is to deal with all the bungies for the sunscreen.

If not, I'll bite the bullet, but figured I'd ask.

Thanks!

I got mine installed. I noticing almost the same wind noise as usual BUT all the other ambient noise like vehicles and other outside noises have been reduced pretty well. I only wish I could’ve gotten it with the marine-grade fabric on both sides (one side without the Velcro strips) as I don’t really care for the headliner material or look.

That makes sense! The good news is that you don't have to flip it every time. Personally, I left the marine-grade layer exposed all summer while testing prototypes, and it worked great. It’s no different than seeing the metal bars on the Sunrider itself, so it still looks clean and functional. I only flip mine seasonally now, which is what we ultimately suggest.

But I get that everyone has their own preference! Right now, we don’t offer a version without the exposed Velcro on the marine side, but if it’s something you’d really like, feel free to email us at [email protected], and we can see what’s possible. Appreciate the feedback!
+1 for wanting a version without the exposed Velcro on the marine side.

Mine had the same issue. While it took a few days to hear back from Hothead Headliners, they were very easy to deal with and had a replacement to me ~ 3 days after we touched base. I also asked for the replacement to come without velcro on the marine side which they were able to do with no issues (after getting it in hand I don't see myself ever switching it back and forth). Overall pretty happy with their customer service.

Mine does every once in a while, I just try to be careful with it or stuff it back in when that happens.
I think I have mine pulled too far back but I need to do that to line the Velcro strips up. Maybe it’s time I communicate with hot heads

I got mine and installed. Marine layer out full time (probably). Does a nice job of cutting down on highway noise. Helped keep the cab warmer in the winter. Ohio hit almost 70 a day or so recently and with full sun, it did a nice job of keeping the truck cool. Would recommend.
