My father picked up a 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sport this morning. This evening, showing off to the grandkids he removed the freedom panels and had a small LED, wired thru the base of the mirror fall from where ever it was stuck.

The LED doesn’t look like one of the available aftermarket map lights, but I could be mistaken.

has anyone seen something like this on another Jeep?

Wrangler was clearly flat towed behind an RV based on hook ups under the front bumper. Not sure if the LED could be related to this.

My meaning is I cannot find it as one of the aftermarket map lights available today.

it’s clearly a DIY set up.

You are correct, that is the brake indicator light for a braking system when being flat towed. it would activate when the installed cylinder on the brake pedal would apply the brakes to alert you in the motor-home that the brakes were being applied in the tow vehicle while stopping. They are usually stuck to the back side of the rear-view mirror during installation.

I didn’t know they made things like that. Interesting.
