So if you’ve noticed my ACE thread, last week marked 12 weeks awaiting a bumper I ordered from them. I finally had enough and canceled and called LoD Off-road. I’ve ran ACE, Genright, Rockhard, and more. So I call LoD and Shannon, I think, picks up and I ask about lead time. She tells me 3 are in stock! What?! So I scooped that up, along with a fair lead mount, and skid just in case the Mojave skid didn’t work. (Spoiler…it does)

This was on last Tuesday and she said it should ship out Friday. Cool deal. Sometime the middle of this week I should have it. Here’s where it gets bananas! Friday, she CALLS me!! And tells me that my goodies shipped out and said she emailed me tracking info. What?! Who does that?! LoD! That’s who!

So I give the ol tracking number a look this morning and it went from delivery on Wednesday to delivery today! I got home and it was already there. FedEx dude was strong as he put it on my porch with no dolly or anything. I start ripping my stock bumper off— cliffs notes: Lord it’s a mission to pull the stock fogs out. I get this critter on the frame horns and holy nuts! It’s interesting to say the least on getting a wrench in the slot but doable. Bumper all fastened and tossed the ol Warn VR Evo 10k on top, ran the cables, and gave it all a test.

So, the bumper is SOLID. It feels beefy as anything. I didn’t get a chance to see if it drooped from the weight but meh…100lbs?! Not sure if it’s deal breaking. Wife put boundaries up! No 35s as were chasing a 3 year plan to move once my daughter graduates and I can appreciate that. But I’m thankful to get rid of that janky stock bumper and at least have some recovery ability.

And THANK YOU LoD! You guys (and gals) rock!

Thinking about the full width Destroyer myself. I've had a few great experiences with vendors so far. Tuwa Pro, Mid Atlantic Off-Roading, and not vendors but forum members selling stuff.

Awesome looks great! Considering selling my ACE bumper for an LOD actually. They make really great stuff. Only complaint is their powder coating is pretty bad (in my limited experience)...powder coating on my signature sliders on my JL were bubbling/flaking off within 2 years so just watch out for that.

Cheers

Get that winch line tucked in. Riding around like that and it's almost guaranteed to get enough UV and road debris in it to degraded the strength. But then again a whole section of winch line is exposed in that bumper so ?‍♂

yeah. Factor 55 is on order so I can do so. I was concerned about UV but its pretty covered with the control box but I’ll likely get a cover anyway.

if you’ve got ACE, heck, I like that the winch tucks between the rails, I’d stick with that.
