I just switched out the orignal Sport S tires for a set of Big O Bigfoot AT tires. I have a trip i take to my sons place which is a 160 mile round trip. Been averaging 24.9. With the new tires it now reads 26.7. The Big O AT tire is a light truck tire which means it has a stiffer sidewal as I understand. Pleasant surprise.

How were you getting 24.9 MPG and now 26.7 MPG? I haven't even heard of the 4 cylinder 2 door wranglers getting that kind of gas milage.

i didnt get that consistently but i was seeing that mpg on some highwy trips with the stock tires. Maybe his speedo wasn’t recalibrated?

I try to keep the speed 60 mph so not to shift all the time. I checked the tire dealer today and the new tires are just a very small ammount taller.
I have been getting 24 25 mpg all along.
