It depends on the E Load. Some have a lot more plies than others. Mine are E load and they ride great at 32 PSI and they wear evenly and handle great and all. I got 50k+ out of my last set and still had 5/32 left. I honestly can’t tell a difference between them and the stock all season tires that came on it as long as I keep the tire pressure low. It rides super stiff at 38 psi +.
My Falken AT3W 35's with E load rating easily rode as good or better than my BGF C load rating 35's and same goes for my Cooper AT3 XLT D load 37's. It comes down to a quality overall tire. No MT is really going to be as smooth over time as a mellow AT. That said my Toyo MT's rode fantastic also, but over time the degradation in ride on the street became apparent faster than with an AT tire.

If you're running the Grabber X3's in 37's, then they are E rated tires. Grab a set of BFG AT K02's in either C or D load range. You'll get a better ride.
I didn't care for the 35 inch X3's I had on a fullsize Ram 1500 but had a significant ride improvement with Cooper AT's in 35" size. Funny, but the ride on the grabber ATx 35x12.50R17's. Funny how those are E rated too but sure ride a lot better then the X3's in the same size.

Sadly, the AtX's are available in the 37 size with a 17" rim right now. So I'll be going to BFG KO2's in load range D in the next month or so.

I hated my ride on a Ram 1500 with the Grabber X3's in 35x12.50R17's. It was fine for the first few 10 thousand miles but after that, the road noise was loud The traction is slushy snow intersections sucked.
I rotated them religiously and still didn't solve the ride issues. Now that 100% different then the Grabber ATX in 35x12.50x17. Best riding tires I've ever had. Sadly they discontinued them in the 37's which is what i wanted next as they are the only tire to have Raised white letters other then BFG K02 AT's. in a 37" size. So I guess I'll be going with the BFG AT KO2's in a couple months.

One should spin balance and rotate tires regularly, every 5K to 10K miles if they want to maximize the tire's life. And as tires get older, they will degrade in ride and usually get louder.

I think that there might be other issues that the OP has relating to his wife not liking the ride of his JT. My wife never told me to get rid of or change a 4x4 because of the ride. She never has. She knows that I would tell her, "Then don't drive it". Unless it is your and her only vehicle.... she doesn't need to ride in it if you love it.

If it is yours and hers only ride, dump the lift kit and go back to stock tires and wheels or trade it in for a Mojave. Respectfully; If she doesn't like the Mojave ride, then there are other issues going on.

I'm still on the factory installed Falken AT's on my 2021 Mohave at 65,000 miles. I quit my normal spin balance at about 57K miles on my JT because they are almost done, and the tires are cupping in front and sounding like MT tires. I know it's the end for theses tires but the tread depth is still good. I could probably squeeze another 7 to 10K out of these tires but I am ready to go to a 35. In decades of owning offroad tires I have never gotten over 40K miles on a set. These Falken AT's are very impressive.

Seeing some of the posts on here it seems that some of you change tires every year. I don't know how you have the time or the care.

Be well. Jeep on.

Eric

You need to sit wife down and do your best to find out exactly what she does not like, sway, rough ride, and what situations make her most upset, then work on one issue at a time and use her as the judge. Also ride on different jeeps to see which she likes best and least. Just saying it is best to figure out what you are trying to fix. Smile and have fun doing it!

Drop brackets for the control arm can make a huge difference. They should be close to horizontal, some lift kits don’t compensate for this.

FOR SALE/FOR TRADE:

Well, the wife said my Jeep rides too rough, so it's time to let my baby go. She's been great to me, but as you can see it's time to move on to something not so harsh. Head turner and always looks great. Has never let me down, never left me stranded. Only thing to note is she doesn't like rough riding vehicles!

Willing to trade for another model of equal or lesser age!
I’m sure that you will miss her. Trade her in for a younger model that likes a rough ride!

Don’t all wives run the show? Some rule more subtly though.

Just use behavior modification, any time wife gives the wrong answer just hit the horn. Make sure to have your hearing protection on!
