So I have a five foot snow bank at my house and I had no intention of trying to go over it and just wanted to have a little fun. I got up about 3.5" feet on it in 4 low and heard some metal braking sound so I backed it out. I checked and pulled on the dual stabilizer, track bar, tie rod and couldn't see anything wrong. I drove it 3 miles up the road and nothing felt wrong. I have a rock X crawler high profile bumper so they snow only got got up to the factory skid plate and lower fog lights with my 3.5" lift. I'm thinking maybe it was the skid plate bending or something?

Were some of your tires on pavement and the rest on the snow? Maybe some driveline binding?

Did you hear the plate sliding on the snow? How hard was it packed? Seems unlikely (not impossible) there'd be a break. Was it the snow saying "I give"?

It was a quick sound that sounded like metal breaking or bending but this is coming from a newb so idk.

I agree. Turn on the offroad cruise control first time, that's quite a racket. My wife jumped a foot when she clicked it on!

It will still use traction control for the Brake Lock Differential feature. It tries to control wheel slippage.
