I haven't been able to find this question specifically answered, and was hoping to get some input. I've done some digging on other forums but I get mixed results everywhere I search.
I ordered a base sport gasser in a manual configuration (3.73 gears). I plan on doing light to moderate offroading (6.5 out of 10 trail rating at most), with some camping thrown in there. With the stock 3.73 gearing, would a 35" tire on factory rims and a 2" mopar lift seriously hinder the overall performance of the vehicle? Could I even fit a 35" tire on a narrow axled sport w/ a 2" lift and stock rims? I'll probably have a lot of highway driving to get to said offroading sites, and so I'm also wondering how much worse the gas mileage would be when compared to the same setup that has 4.10 gears in it instead.
I'm not married to 35" tires, but it seems to be the standard given the wheelbase length of our trucks.
