FYI!!! Should your battery die and you jump start your jeep, it could disable your AC, radio, and some other functions in your truck. Believe me I learned this first hand!!!

The radio reset is easy, hold down the power button simultaneously with the far tune/browse button for about 15 seconds and release.

The AC reset requires disconnecting both batteries for about 15 minutes. This is most easily done by removing the - and + from the main battery, and then disconnecting the negative connection to both batteries on the side firewall, turn on the headlights to drain. Wait about 15 minutes, turn off all lights, replace the + and -, and reconnect at the firewall. I hope this helps somebody. It had me pretty stressed out. But thank God everything is working again!!!

Sometimes my radio stops working the buttons I can't push them. I can do it on the steering wheel but push buttons don't work on the screen. after I turn it off and let it sit a couple hours it starts working again. I got a new radio couple years ago they ordered me a new one. My service advisor was nice enough to order one instead of trying to do downloads and stuff. Do you think when the buttons stop working again like that temporary if I reset it it will start working again ? sorry about punctuation I'm trying to type and it's very bright out here for the sun so I can't see what I'm doing

Glad you got it sorted out. Low voltage can cause some really strange behavior on these trucks, and a weak or dead battery seems to confuse all kinds of modules.
Whenever I see multiple systems acting up at the same time, battery voltage is one of the first things I check. Thanks for posting the fix could definitely save someone a trip to the dealer.

You said to reset the radio you hold down the power button while the radio is on and then which button are you talking about the tuner ? when I think a tuner button I think of the one the third big button on the right that you change a channel with so they're two big buttons hold those down

Usually like I said when the radio's turned off I go in somewhere for a couple hours or overnight the push buttons on the screen will start working again. Do you think when it acts up and the buttons aren't working on the screen just hold those two button down reset the radio and it should stop it ? But when you do a reset on the radio I'm sure you lose all your pre-program stations what about your apps and stuff like at the bottom where you have them organized will it go back to factory reset where you have to redo everything again locating the ones you want at the bottom? I hate to have to redo all those I got mine all organized You know what you want the different screens at the bottom

Yes. Sorry I didn’t proof read before posting. So on the 8.4 screen that I have… far left is the power button. In the middle is the A/C button/ knob. Disregard. Far right is the tune scroll button.

simultaneously depress the left and right buttons for about a 15 second count. When you release, the radio will turn off and turn back on starting with the Jeep logo.
